21 Weeks!!!

I am officially 21 weeks pregnant! I am at that weird point of really wanting the next four months to go by quickly, but simultaneously feeling overwhelmed by how much we have to get done in such a short span of time.  Now that the move is over, we should be able to start focusing on getting things ready for Little Bean.

Speaking of Little Bean, we found out some great news the other week.  We are having a baby BOY!!!!!  We are REALLY excited.  Neither one of us really had a foot in either camp on gender, we just wanted a healthy baby.  However, now that we know the gender, it has been really fun to start saying "he" and "him" and starting to imagine him as a baby and a little boy.  Now we just can't wait to get everything ready for him to be here.

I seem to have ballooned the past couple of weeks, or maybe that is just how I feel.  I am definitely taking on a bit of a waddle while walking now.  And I'm only half way there!  I am working on some way to display all of the belly pics that I have (and I do have one for each week, even though I have been really bad about posting them) in some sort of montage to show the growing belly.  Hopefully will post soon.

We are still working on unpacking, it is slow but steady.  Once we have the place looking a little more like a home, I will post pictures of the new place, a picture tour of sorts.  Harold is adjusting, again, slow but steady.  He hasn't handled us leaving him here during the day well though.  We are working through some different options, but he is having a hard time of it.  He is great while we are home though which is promising, it will just take some time for him to get comfortable with the new place like he was with the apartment.

Other than that, Adam and I have both been really busy at work so haven't been able to focus as much on the unpacking as we would have liked, but we have a long weekend coming up with the Fourth so hopefully will be able to take care of a lot then.

WE HAVE MOVED!!!!!

Now we have to unpack :(  Sorry that I have had to take a hiatus due to the move.  Now that we are in, I will be able to post more often and more regularly.  I owe you:

16 and 17 weeks and random thoughts

I feel as if there are SO many things that I need to update the blog on, and yes, that feeling wouldn't be as strong if I posted more often - noted and working on it.  But, to solve this problem in the short term, I present a random and information packed post. I hope you enjoy!

Still feeling good, a little frustrated that I can't lift any boxes, so am not feeling 100% myself, but other than that doing just fine.  We went to a class on cloth diapers today which was great.  We have a better idea of what combination we want to use, but are still figuring everything out.  If you have used cloth diapers, please leave any advice that you have, we could use all the advice we can get as we sort through all of the information, which is a bit overwhelming.


I do promise I have a good reason for missing my last two weekly belly pic updates.  1) my parents were in town and it only seems fair to blame some of this on them :) (love you - please come back soon) 2) and, probably truly the blame, we signed a lease and are moving in two weeks!!!!

The move happened REALLY fast.  We turned in an application because we liked a townhouse but didn't actually think that we would get it, but lo and behold, we did - so we are moving a couple of months earlier than we were planning, but are really happy about the change in plans.

While I will post more on the move later, we would like to bring back the all popular HOW MANY BOXES OF BOOKS GAME!!!  So, here are the rules:  I will tell you how many book shelves we have and will show you one picture of the books that we have packed so far.  If you would like to play, post or email me your guess as to how many total boxes of books we will end up with after everything is packed by noon on Saturday the 9th.  The winner will receive (drum roll) a copy of a Jane Austen novel of their choice (this is Knit and Purlsuasion people, what did you expect?)  As a helpful hint, during the last game, we ended up with 21 boxes.
